Symptoms of Cataracts

Symptoms of cataracts can be seen as a clouding transparent lens that can be found in the eye. You will know that there is clouding because your vision will be unclear or blurred. When the cataract develops, you will not know it right away at first. It will become obvious when the normal black pupil will become a bit yellowish.

Symptoms of Cataracts for Children

Sometimes, cataracts will be present in children when the child is already born with this. Another is that the child developed this during birth. One cause would also be because of the pregnancy of the child’s mother; may it be an injury, a health problem and the like. Sometimes it can also be hereditary though this is one rare case. You may find out if the child really has cataract if you let his/her pediatrician examine if your child has any congenital problem like cataract. Anyway, it will be obvious if the child has cataract because he/she won’t be able to recognize their family members right away and may look very odd when staring at something.

But due to the different breed of dogs that are present, they have different types and symptoms which vary from one another. Some animals may need cataract treatments because of diabetes. If your dog and your other pets are diabetic, expect that they will be having cataracts since 75% of diabetic animals may undergo this in the early stage of diabetes. Dogs and other animals are treated the same way like the adults and children. They are still going to be brought to the hospital or clinic because of the symptoms of cataract that they have which they need to go through with the eye surgery.
