Intramuscular lens is a thin plastic layer which can be found within the muscle of the eye that helps the eye see more clearly.
People use lenses to avoid hustle of wearing eye glasses while running, walking and doing some fun activities. Although, there are some precautions to follow, you just have to know the type of lenses and the exact lenses that fits for you.
There are different types of intramuscular lenses that can be defined and usually worn by people to avoid wearing of glasses.
1) It is a rigid gas-permeable, also known as gas permeable contact lens. This is the most basic contact lenses, which is made from firm plastic that transmit oxygen to the cornea to make the bearer more comfortable in wearing them. It is made of clear white in color, more hard-wearing and made from a flexible plastic. Some people would have an initial feeling of discomfort and requires for quite some time of adaptation. But, with daily uses and daily cleaning of this lens will make you more comfortable and be used to it.
2) The soft lenses are also known for your daily wear lens, it is made from a flexible plastic. The American Optometric Association recommends the use of this for people with active life style because they do not come out very easily. Although, you have to replace it regularly because they get dirty easily. Make sure to clean your hand before and after applying the lens to avoid eye irritation.
3) The lenses that can be worn for up to 7 days are what you can extend wear lenses, but have some complications due to uses, disposable and are being recommended to wear for only 6 days to avoid irritation.
When using lenses be sure to consult an ophthalmologist regularly for your eye check up and to avoid infections caused by irritations and wrong cleaning of the lens.
There is also intramuscular injection used by doctors to inject a certain liquid or substance into our body or muscle. The liquid being inject depends on the age of the patient, the substance needed in the surgery and the lens needed.
Surgeons believe that using intramuscular injection would lead to a faster result and faster absorption of the body’s muscle and veins. This is usually being administered in the body’s veins and flow together with our blood that result to a faster effect. Mostly, this is being used to patients who are in critical condition due to allergies, undergoes an operation and diseases.
Intramuscular lenses are very important but without enough knowledge, risk is as take. Even professional and surgeons make it to a point to know the history of every patient to avoid complications of every eye surgery.
